For a friend

Your strength to continue to love
Even when life has left such scars upon your heart
For this, I stand and admire
I smile, for it shows who you truly are
You’re a blooming flower from an infertile media
You are a star, you are a miracle
You are everything that keeps my faith in humanity
You are an inspiration for young girls in tough times.

It is my prayer, that you shall not be denied
It is my prayer that happiness, and yourself you will find
Don’t be afraid to stand up and shine
Don’t be afraid of those healing tears that may fall from time to time
You have me here, some one in which to confide
Right by your side
I pray to see you climb
I long to watch you fly.
