Her Silken Gown

Her Silken Gown

A Poem by Carson Kramer

The ashes of a silken gown
in a dream, so vivid
left burning
lie on this ancient floor.
Her silken gown had puddled at her feet.
It's feel as it fell,
exquisitely liquid.
Fallen as she surrendered,
her silken gown tickled her instep.
She flicked it away
and wrapped her arms around
his broad shoulders and neck,
a dance step.
She met his eyes.
His gaze pierced her being.
The hues of his story,
were found within,
as he placed both hands
on the small of her back,
and drew her ever so close to his fire.

About
You have come to the Nom de Plume, of the writer known as, Nipplegrinder. It was suggested that I would receive a more welcoming response, if I hadn't such a repulsive screen name. (Thank you, Lyn.) .. more..
