Just A Little While LongerA Poem by Carson Kramer
Wait for the one who shows you his soul.
The one who is both gallant and silly. The one who opens the door, and walks beside you, his hand on the small of your back. Wait for the one who thinks you're a treasure, not a trophy or prize. The one who listens, without giving advice. The one who is genuinely interested in your past, and encourages a better future. Wait for the one who wakes you up with a text, to say you're beautiful, or go get 'em gorgeous. Wait for the one who can't wait for your call. The call you make to say that you're tired, weary, or spent. Wait for the one who won't turn away when you show him that side of you that occasionally appears when you're raw, vulnerable. The one who isn't afraid to tell you it's going to get worse before it gets better, Because he will be there to pick up the pieces when it goes wrong. There to rub your back when you need it. And probably when you don't. He will stand tall through adversity, real, imagined, or placed there by you. His strength will astound you, his tenderness will bring you to tears. He is real. He is a man. He is a Gentleman. And he has been waiting for you, too. © 2018 Carson KramerReviews

It was suggested that I would receive a more welcoming response, if I hadn't such a repulsive screen name. (Thank you, Lyn.) .. more..Writing
