The Path To Her Heart

The Path To Her Heart

A Poem by Carson Kramer

The path to her heart is fraught with peril and possible missteps.
The miles walked and driven, the depths fathomed, and seas navigated
are worth the toil of a Gentleman rogue.
The waiting, the longing, the dreaming.
The path to her heart has rocky terrain, intimidating hills,
murky depths, and choppy seas.
The path to her heart has potholed roads and darkened streets.
But I am a driven man.
I am unabashedly seeking to claim her.
I am relentlessly seeking her gift.
Mile after mile
League after league
Seeking.
The path to her heart is well worth it to me.

Aw, this is so endearing and lovely yet romantic and passionate. As well as caring and considerate and loyal lover and soul mate.

I am so glad that I now know who you are!
I can feel the passion, anticipation and longing in this emotional poem. It sounds as though you are travelling the world to be with her. I hope the journey is well rewarded.Nice write.

I love this!! Especially the line 'the path to her heart has potholed roads and darkened streets.' So much meaning in just that one sentence.

Think we all go along that perilous road to get to her

I came to a cross roads with lots of choices from which to choose
Only one had all the qualities
She was at a crossroads too
Our paths met all the other lead away
We both took the same path to go on our separate ways

You have come to the Nom de Plume, of the writer known as, Nipplegrinder. It was suggested that I would receive a more welcoming response, if I hadn't such a repulsive screen name. (Thank you, Lyn.) .. more..
