The Cool Waters Of Abandon

The Cool Waters Of Abandon

A Poem by Carson Kramer

Where once I stood on their shores
with hesitation,
I now stand poised to dive
headlong into the cool waters of abandon.
I desire their cleansing, refreshing awakening.
The cool waters of abandon have power.
That of which to cleanse souls, yet
also to embolden the meek.
The cool waters of abandon
give voice to muted heartstrings,
and offer hope to downtrodden beasts, one and all.
As I gaze upon the cool waters of abandon
whilst the sunlight shimmers upon them
I ponder how many souls thirst.
How many souls?
Do these cool waters give words or empower?
Are these waters magical, as Pagan ritual?
Can they be bottled, and administered to the weak?
These cool waters of abandon offer freedom.
For yours and mine.
These waters are ancient.
Their rewards, sublime.
Please dive, dive with me,
headlong, into the cool waters of abandon.

You have come to the Nom de Plume, of the writer known as, Nipplegrinder. It was suggested that I would receive a more welcoming response, if I hadn't such a repulsive screen name. (Thank you, Lyn.) .. more..
