My Lovely White Swan

My Lovely White Swan

A Poem by Carrie Manor

Lovely white swan,

black opal beak,

orange, sun kissed, charming beak.

Lovely swan, why not thee come swim my way?

While the glint in your dreamy eyes sparkles,

diminish, I into more lovelier days.

Meager, little, made I of my ways.

Shame, smitten, I whom loathe.

Yee whom come by the flourishing garden grove.

Praise begotten this majesty

radiant white, black pearl gleam.

Whence flowers come fragrant, I’ve come to demise.

Sent by thy, come to I all that is wise!

Thee handsome prince,

how may I despise?

Anyone but myself?

For whence the kingdom all took look.

Innocence abode...

How the prince snuggled young

under warm nook

Author's Note

Carrie Manor
I used the swan as an "idea" ( I don't know how else to word it) to portray how others may be quick to judge, how and what other people do and why. When truthfully we just want to live. Happily, and peacefully.
