The conclusion of my poem La Gentil Pere

Ah yes! The gentle embrace!

It is a Dad that shows us indeed

for it is from him, where God

shows us his love.

Sadly said, though it be true

there are those whom never know

the warmth of a loving Father’s embrace.

It is then that we be destined -

be we closer to God?

For now we have only one.

Before, God’s love was shown through him,

now before us lay God’s open arms.

However thou may say:

“ Well fine but, it is not the same.”

Yet a warm wind kisses our cheek,

when our shivers are draped,

when even in degrees, temperature hath not increased.

When it feels a hand has encompassed around your heart.

That is the truest love of all;

the love of kindness,

the love of compassion,

the reverend love of our father one.

This poem reminds me of the poems and prayer that we used to say during school days, the olden English has suited this poem so well, and to me it sounded perfect.... nice write...
