"I Came Across a Valley"

"I Came Across a Valley"

A Poem by Carrie Manor
"

Poem I wrote with my bf

"

I came across a valley

on a dismal dreary day

i could still see the sun

but it was still so very far away

I espied a lark high upon a branch

and wish i had his wings so

i could fly away from here

why doth time and earth,

whence did it become so cruel?

it started time immemorial

before we ever knew

when did it start? will we

ever know?

Within the sun’s eye

with thee my soul is forever entwined

the moon is the sparkle in your eye

a fire that will never die

you are the song that soothes

the savage beast within

your embrace is the warmth of

a thousand angels wings

some may say its pathetic

but hey were just poetic

your embrace is warmer than

a thousand suns

The sun and larks, what sunshine, oh sparks of love and joy for the prettiest images that exist...how beautiful. What lovely reminders of what exists of this nature when we gather it in our minds and eyes...
