Sitting on the sunset

drying tears

Running, screaming inside his head,

plays back on a broke record

with no escape.

Everything’s the same again.

But he doesn’t care.

back by two,

the child’s sound asleep,

glass brakes on the floor,

poison rushes in the wood.

Demons run into his soul,

His wrists are scarred over.

No one’s there to see him

No one’s there to save him

No one’s wants to see him

No one’s wants to save him

I want a savior.

I want a savior.

nothing more.

I want a savior.

Up ‘til midnight telling you about his life.

The car engine revs,

he glances at the window

no one’s ever watching

but he’s always looking

streetlights pierce his gaze

guide the way to his destiny

no one will save him

no one will take him

under their wing.

 I want a savior.

I want a savior.

nothing more. I want a savior.

And he can’t sleep

he won’t sleep

and he can’t sleep

at all.

I want a savior.

I want a savior.

nothing more.

I want a savior.

I want a savior.

I want a savior.

nothing more.

I want a savior.

I want a savior.

I want a savior.

nothing more.

I want a savior.
