Unconscious Hearts

Unconscious Hearts

A Poem by Carrie Chose
"

Sometimes we can't differentiate our strong emotions - hate and love come as two sides of the emotional coin

"

I dreamed of you again;

You even haunt my sleep.

But if that is the only way I see you,

Let it be.

I never will forget

The smile within your eyes

That dissipates my every doubt that I am

Still alive.

I said goodbye last night,

Like every night I do,

Just like you were beside me in the world that

We both knew.

I could have been a queen;

We could have owned the world.

But nothing in between the there and now

Had we deserved.

I had so much to say,

But nothing that I mean,

So if I hate you when I wake, I love you

When I dream.
