Hi, Carrie! : )
It is but Richard, come to welcome you and enjoy one of your excellent renderings.
This one (almost a Senryu) touches deeply with the emotion of holding another who's gone in the teardrop of one's heart's yearning remembrance … sooo sensitively endearing!
By virtue of the depth in your words, I've glimpsed the soul of the woman behind them — warmly and gently you breathe … thank you, Carrie! ⁓ Richard
I picture you standing on a beach looking out at the vast sea, trapped here, but anticipating the white shore on the other side where your Love waits. Each tear holding a different memory, combined they stream with the sorrow of loss. A simple poem that evokes so much feeling.
