Eye Of The Emerald Isles

A short limerick about a kind of spirit horse (I love horses!) This is my first limerick and it was sort of hard for me to compose, tell e what you think!

There was a horse from the Emerald Isles.

He was scarcely seen throughout the land.

People tried to figure out his wiles,

But all they saw were hoofprints in sand.

            There was a horse from the Emerald Isles…

I really love this poem. It's beautiful and has a natural flow. Though I'm not much of a poet (well I haven't really tried), I personally think it's unfinished.

After this line,

"But all they saw were hoofprints in sand."

Maybe start again, describing the mysterious spirit horse a bit more?

They say its. . ."

Overall, beautiful seems to be the only word suitable for this!
