My Friend In This Generation

My Friend In This Generation

A Poem by Caroline Grimm
"

A poem about me trying to help my best friend who got r@ped in this generation.

"
I agree with Ethan Jewell when he said no one gives a sh!t
I want to help my friend yet here I sit
because I speak up about him and it always circles back
they all say what he is telling me is whack
they say if it actually happened he would have told an adult
but what they don't realize is in these adults we can't consult
they don't understand and they don't hear us out
and then we're forced to shout
then they get upset and feed us their voice
not giving us any choice
then we're told we're over overreacting
and that it's nonsense we're attracting
so we hide these things within ourselves
in attempt to save OURselves

Author's Note

Caroline Grimm
This isn't meant to directly pick on one generation. It's more about how in the society we live in the older people we are supposed to look up to wont listen because they think the way they did things is the way its supposed to be done and arent willing to change with the times.

This is absolutely chilling and what scary about it is that it is reality. Beautiful piece of work. I love how raw it is. You're angry for your friend as you should be.
