The Dream

The Dream

A Poem by Carolann Dowsett

I fell into a dream

and floated there

for countless hours

I drifted through universes

unknown to man

Alien worlds of light and colour

that astounded my mind

I felt the touch of something beautiful

upon my soul

Something that crept silently

into the dark corners of my being

and filled me with its warmth and light

I fell into a dream

and here I will remain

lost but at peace

light but unseen

I wish lately I could fall into a dream and be at peace... Mine are nightmares, that is when I find sleep, most of the time my brain won't shut down for me to sleep... Nice write thank you for sharing

Thank you so much
Nicely written read here of worlds such as this even people to have been known to have near death or death for a minute experiences talk about these worlds to where their touched with warmth and love so beautiful place to where they don't want to return For what is this they see the sample piece of God's heavenly place being shown to them in a dream from God or is this them Dying and God sending them back But its simply God's power that's all to it for he can send you back or take you home it depends on what he desires. this just reminded me of that. As always keep writing fellow writer this is a good read

Thank you
So ethereal and dream like this is very mystifying. I have felt similar experiences in my visions as well. You describe it in such a wonderful and fantastic way.

Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed it
This is by far a wonderful piece. I love the imagery and the imagination as it portrayed the very Mysticism of Dreamland. The Provocative details the:

I felt the touch of something beautiful upon my soul
Something that crept silently into the dark corners of my being

Made me want to touch this beautiful thing. and excellent Spellbinding piece

Thank you :) Once again I am humbled by your words.
This is a nice exploration of the dimensions beyond the one we spend the majority of our time. You ask your audience to step into a world they are taught to dismiss as pure fiction. Even though you call it a dream, you show many vivid elements of the world which make it feel real. Sometimes I wonder if we are somewhere between sleeping and dreaming--thoughts like these are a gateway to waking up I think. I like what you have done here.

Thank you, yes somewhere in-between sleeping and dreaming or somewhere in-between worlds.
