~~ My niece Serena is pregnant for her 5th time, feels a bit pooped out and wanting to just watch the grass grow. These few word-pictures sprang into my mind. I chose a colour background of orange & white (in lieu of silver) as I’ve read somewhere that an aura of orange & silver represents pregnancy. ~~
Such a colourful display, bright thoughts of and for your niece, ironically called Serena at a time when rest is more than likely rare. You've gifted her and your reviewers a gently laid scene, nature growing alongside a birth to come. Lovely words leaving thoughts of life in the making.,

Hi dear carola, every woman dreams of being a mom and pregnancy is exciting and a little exhausting at the time of before delivery, but becoming mom is always been a great virtue and second birth to woman for their kid to give rise to but the baby also understand their mom being needed a complete rest, they may not hurt for sure but cooperate with us, my first being same kind, he said in my womb that " i am here to take care of you mom at the very first tap of his feet i felt in office when i was under stress dealing a troubleshooting in software". So i depend on God almighty to have a miracle baby for the 2nd though after a decade gap. My grandmother gave birth to 10 kids with a 2 to 3 yrs gap, a 20+ yrs she spent in progeny, as my grand father insisted to have more kids, she could handle and now she is still alive in her mid 80s...
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and great write.

Your poem is a charming and whimsical reflection on the joys and challenges of pregnancy, and the ways in which we find moments of peace and serenity amidst the chaos of life. The use of imagery, such as "watching the grass grow," creates a sense of both simplicity and wonder, while the choice of orange and white as a background color adds a touch of warmth and vibrancy. Your words convey a sense of both humor and tenderness, and the final lines, "a little one to love and hold / a tiny miracle to behold," are both heartwarming and poignant. Your poem is a testament to the power of poetry to capture the beauty and magic of life, and to help us find our way back to the simple pleasures that make it all worthwhile.

A wonderful poem shared dear Carola. I have three daughters and five grandchildren. I believe women are most beautiful carrying life. The words danced to a perfect ending. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

I imagine Serena sitting with her feet up trying to get some rest. A fifth pregnancy must be exhausting. I like the idea of the grass growing and keeping her company while her own belly swells. I also like the shape of your poem Carola. Sat comfortably within its warm rounded surroundings. The waiting game. I wish her all the best and you too on the arrival of another great niece or nephew. It’s good to see a new post from you as you are about to go into winter days. All the best.

yes I haven't been here in a while, & hadn't written anything either, busy with other things.
yes, I love autumn & winter my favourite times of the year. our hot & humid summers always seem endless to me, I think kids like summers for swimming.
