Dear Carola. This little fun write has great appeal, especially to us cat lovers. I often wonder what they are thinking. Fickle creatures, but adorable with it and every cat that we have had, has its own strong personality. Hope you are doing ok.

Hahaha

I love watching cats fooling around. In my neighborhood, they're usually up in the trees in mating season, running from one another only to get cornered on the branches... Sometimes they do the craziest and funniest things.

A good one.

That was cute and fun. Being a "cat person" I can see this poem come to life as I read.

I have always had a cat in my life, ever since I was twelve. Never had just one though, always multiples. This piece is so endearing to those of us who love and adore them, as if they were children. And they are, at least to me, they are revered as family. I am smiling a most cheshire grin, Carola. Thank you for sharing the love!

you certainly have had excellent feedback on this
my son had a large, pure jet black beauty which I felt was the most beautiful I'd ever seen.
our last cat was an even larger orangish (TABBY?) creature, extremely loving around the house, it would tolerate our budgie running free, but outside was a vicious, indiscriminate killer, but we loved it,
We live surrounded by forest which meant when it passed we would not get another
now it is all about little dogs

We have feral cats where I live, so many that they are a constant nuisance and pest. So consequentially, I'm not a cat lover. But your poem was sweet.

As the owner (or maybe servant) of two cats, this one was quite interesting to me. What exactly is going through cats' minds during that indecipherable stare? I have heard that when they are looking out a window that way, it's like watching TV for them. The masterful balancing you mention has always amazed me. My two elderly females leap from a window sill to a mantle with ease, then walk the length of it like Olympic gymnasts on a balance beam. I envy them these abilities. What I don't envy is hairballs.

And here I was expecting a poem about the play station video game ;) A cool title to go along with a terrific poem! Cats are the type of pet that doesn't need to be walked, just fed, and they can play with yarn! I don't have a cat of my own but they seem like the perfect house pet! Thanks for sharing!
