(In Shakespearean accent) To prose or repose, that is the question! (smile) I love this. Instead of a phantasmic muse, you wish for a tree from which to pluck word leaves from. Whitman had his "Leaves of Grass" but we seldom want those growing in our garden. Lovely thoughts elegantly expressed here. I enjoyed the read. F.

wow, thanks for your kind review fabian, & I'm pleased you liked it.
This is another lovely poem, and I really love the effort that you put into the visual display of your work. This is no exception. "Calling 'pick me' with their voices" is a wondrous line. Love this!

A nice thought... having our very own word tree, to nourish and then pluck the fruit when it is ripe! In a sense we do have such a thing... inside our own head! All the words are there. We just have to find the right ones, and then put them in the right order to make a worthwhile poem! I enjoyed reading this, Carola!

i love trees, sitting outdoors & drinking coffee, & how fun it would be to have a tree assistant when needed instead of a thesaurus.

Carola , Your poetry , the thought of a tree producing words
Is Beautiful
How nice it would be to have such a tree, especially if you happen to be stuck in a block. It would be a good excuse to avoid raking in the fall.

It is easy to be inspired by Miss Sharon, Carola. She is a wonderful poet. I am liking very much your Word Tree and your imagination here. Yes to be able to pluck what is required and when you need it to complete a poem would make many poets happy. Would save much time too. Have a happy Saturday.
