i got inspired to write this poem after reading Miss Sharon's 'A QUIET MIND'

(In Shakespearean accent) To prose or repose, that is the question! (smile) I love this. Instead of a phantasmic muse, you wish for a tree from which to pluck word leaves from. Whitman had his "Leaves of Grass" but we seldom want those growing in our garden. Lovely thoughts elegantly expressed here. I enjoyed the read. F.

A nice thought... having our very own word tree, to nourish and then pluck the fruit when it is ripe! In a sense we do have such a thing... inside our own head! All the words are there. We just have to find the right ones, and then put them in the right order to make a worthwhile poem! I enjoyed reading this, Carola!

hi patricia, i don't know why writers get so concerned about 'writers block'.
i see it as free time for mind rejuvenation, because your brain needs a holiday on a regular basis.
i disappear from WC for sometimes months at a time 'cos i do have other interests that need me.

yes a word-tree would be fun.... sitting outside in the shade & fresh air with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate (maybe even a snack) & your laptop, writing & reaching up to pluck a word when you need one. decadently indulgent!
