Like Emma, I'm impressed with your bug-shaped display. The words are most important, of course, and elevate the insect to deserved notoriety. Insects, in general, are essential to the balance of nature. Despite that, I really don't want them in bed with me or crawling on my sandwich.

well done! I smiled and chuckled instantly on seeing your "beetle form" poem! i am certain your Grand Nieces and Nephews will love them. my brother in law is an artist and a bug collector as well and has a huge collection of beetles .. in fact while on an expedition in New Guinee. i think it was, and he discovered a brand new species ... the scientists on the team decided to name it after him .. the "Hart Beetle" .. his last name is Hart. It actually had a very long official name .. anyway .. love this poem .. love your intent .. supper fun and creative ..

coincidently, we have just been officially warned about one of these little creatures which has just started invading our Spruce trees
And that after the extensive damage done by the pine beetle which wiped out huge tracts.
Fortunately they contain no threat in a neat concise poem
Enjoy

Such a clever display, as realistic as can be with those great words enclosed, Carola! '.. .. crawling around iridescent or brightly coloured.. .. ' such beautiful creatures deserve to be honoured and you've given them that.. brilliantly!

do you think the beetle shape & eyes would be too scary for my grand niece & nephews aged between 10 & 5 years old ? should I remove the grey colouring of the text background ?
