How Powerful is Your Pen?

Is it not true that all of you skillful poets out there could woo any girl you set your eyes on, could whoosh her into the heavens with words placed in the right order from the chambers of your hearts?

Is it not true that all of you creative poetesses on taking in a man's character and demeanor with your intuitive skills - could sweep any man off his feet, and send him into butterfly lands of love; sex and lust with words placed in the right order, a recipe to his whims?

Yes, the pen is all powerful, for it touches hearts and souls with a depth of feeling unknown to everyday living. So why can't the pen touch the world with courage, righteousness, conviction and truth?

People are tired, their senses have been burnt out by an onslaught of graphic media, too much unnecessary talking and a protective barrier has been placed to protect the heart from feeling too deeply.

I am love, pure love, my pen writes of bliss, my heart seeks out understanding. Love is the greatest weapon on this planet, courage, wisdom, peace, and bliss are all parts of love, and the pen is another.

One of the deepest actions of love is courage, for each one compliments the other. The true pen is the vehicle from the soul to touch others. It has a life of its own. It channels eternity, it knows right from wrong, it speaks reality; and it awakens those who have been dormant. It is a part of Nature, a shooting star; a butterfly, a thought; a whim, and a wonder.

Whether you are a poet, a wordsmith, a novelist, a speech writer; a play writer, or a journalist, pick up your pens to not cause blunders, and embrace the world with all your precious wonders; and let the world know that your quill flies through justice's sky.

If it is true that there is power in every word we utter, then it must be even more true that there is potentially more power in every word we write via our heart & mind penned to page ... We can inspire people to the heights of great and wondrous achievement, or plunge them into the depths of depravity, all with the stroke of our pen ... The question is, what will we choose to do with this power that holds such great sway over the hearts and minds of men, women, and children ...? Do we seek our own gratification only, or that of the greater good of all men, all mankind ...? Your point is well presented, and well taken ...I hope others glean your message ...

The man with the gun is truly powerful.
The man with the pen will take your life.
Yes, words are truly powerful. They can start and end wars. Give good and bad news.
Or they can just not come out right when i'm chatting you up.

Being a bit depleted in my late years, it's inspiring to read these words of exuberance and passion. Of course it's all true, but I sometimes lose touch. Thank you for this very well crafted pick-me-up.

the only "hackneyed" expression I know is: the pen is mightier than the sword. but, with this write, you've given it a much larger potency and I like that.
