No more

No more

A Poem by H.C.Harewood

Just a warm place to lay my head

A safe haven with a welcoming bed

No sorrow No tears No lonesome nights

The family on the inside of the window with lights

The battle for the shower the the christmas dinner

the chessy jokes as dads hair grows thinner and thinner

No car parks No alleyways with a bottle in hand

but sisters recitals with her clarinet band

Shopping with mum in the grocery store

teased till I blushed about the guy at the door

No knives No police No broken glass on the stair

Just curling up for the telly with mum stroking my hair
