The Hawk

The Hawk

A Poem by Carly

I spoke to a hawk,
A messenger.
To understanding, I was led
And there I found more.
Identification,
Validity,
Comradery,
Wisdom.
One who has known my path many years over,
And survived.
And still cries over the loss.
As I still cry over mine.
I was taught gratitude.
I was taught kindness.
I was taught compassion.
All by one who has known my path many years over.
The hawk,
The messenger,
The messenger of insight.
I recieved your message and went.
And for that
And for you
I am grateful.
