Summers Evening

"

While sitting on my patio enjoying the summer's evening and looking out onto the back yard this little ditty came to me.

"

The hint of breeze

ruffeling the grasses

 

Trees standing erect

guarding both 

sky above

ground below

 

Tiny specks of flowers dotting 

the expance before me

 

Lighting fairy's playing tag

all around me

 

Sitting on my deck

 

wishing

 

Summers Evening

could

 

Last Forever

Very sweet and floaty...I can picture the fairies flitting around in the twilight. Make sure to be careful with your spelling as it does affect the power of your poem and prose (no one's perfect, so don't worry!). I like how your broke out the last few lines...gave them impact and a wistfulness. Nice job!

This was simple and beautiful, the imagery made me feel as if I was on your deck sitting with you! Excellent Poem
