Lustful Slumber

Sometimes I will have trouble both falling to sleep and then staying there. So this was inspired by one night of a really bad time.

At last

Sweet lustful slumber

dissolving into dreamless

longed for escape

 

 

Breath rising and falling

steadfastly marching towards the

promise of a brand new

bright shiny day

 

 

What is pricking at my consicious

the plunking of a

tin piano?

 

How long will it go on

and on and on

 

over and over again

 

pulling at my sweet dreamless escape

 

not another

 

midnight
