Firmly Planted on a Shifting Body

Firmly Planted on a Shifting Body

A Poem by " I Love These Flowing Robes " - Carlton
"

ramblings

"

The world whirls, tips, and tumbles

Sees, spits, and spins

Until exhausted

So, very exhausted

Why must this be so short

Why so tortured

Why so beautiful

Hair, mouth, and legs

All a tangle

All a whisper

We move together

Just to move apart

Gravity draws us nearer

The centrifugal axis tearing us asunder

Cease oh sweet Earth

Please cease, for me
