The night in the valley

The night in the valley

A Poem by Carlo Lazzari
"

The arrival of the night in the valley changes the life in its inhabitants. A new life and new creature are ready when the moor arrives.

"

The rattles of the wind

await the sunset

cerulean and sumptuous,

of the countryside the silvery blush,

in an astonished and joyful look.

The glamour of the mountain breeze,

sewn in the mantle with aromatic herbs

call the distant sheep to the fold

while the dripping walnut

snares apathetic bushes.

The encroached worm

Gnaws the old trunk.

Finally, the shining

Of the Great Bear

Up there already

Shrinking the ink

Stretched on the valley

And pushing the shadows

At their usual den.
