Time to escape

Walking over the crisp Autumn leaves
Escaping the City my mind now at ease
The peace and the still now comforts my ears
Forgetting for now the daily blood, sweat and tears

As I continue my journey and escape from reality
I start to feel weightless, defying all gravity
Those worries and strifes I'd been carrying around
They were now lost in this place with no sound

But as the sun rose and the swallows they did sing
This quiet now transformed into a beautiful thing
My heart was now warmed by all that around
The inner serenity ignited out loud

Oh how I'd forgot the simplest of things
Could transform my soul and start it to sing
A beautiful ballad of joy and of light
The search for my peace no longer a fight
