The girl come good

The girl come good

A Poem by Carlfinn

Verse 1
Strutting around in those high heeled shoes
Doing your thing cos you got nothin to lose
Parading those thighs, pouting them lips
And getting on that swagger with those godamn hips

Chorus
The guys they all want ya
The girls just wanna be ya
Up on that stage they just wanna see ya

Verse 2
You climbed out of the gutter after all that bad stuff
Spending your nights with some gin, sleeping rough
Then a guy you bumped into strumming his guitar
You started to sing, he said you'd go far

Verse 3
The fire was ignited, you started to shine
Instead of the gin you drank expensive wine
Jetting off, to far away places
Singing to millions of unfamiliar faces

Verse 4
Man how you're loving all this goddam attention
When you walk down the street always getting a reaction
But where is that girl that you've left behind
You've buried her deep, way deep inside
