My loves

My loves

A Poem by Carlfinn

I held you as babes in my arms all brand new,
Two bundies of joy, so glad to meet you,
You've entered this world feeling lost and alone,
I'll keep you safe and give you a home

Your first words and quaint little smiles,
They melted my heart for many a while,
Our walks in the fields and trips to the park,
This lifetime of fatherhood, so proud to embark

Nursng your tears when you sometimes fell down,
Helping you smile instead of a frown,
The first days at school were particularly hard,
Leaving you both in the crowded schoolyard

Now that you've grown and our hearts they are one,
My beautiful children, you are second to none,
The joy that you give me each passing day,
As a father I'm yours each and every way
