Searching my mind

Searching amidst the depths of my mind
Discovering the memories that I've left behind
Some which are painful and best left alone
Others from childhood so distant from home

Those of past loves and places we'd been
All of those happy times that I had once seen
Seeing my children as they'd started to grow
Like the seeds in the field the farmer would sow

Friends from the past and the times we'd shared
The sad lonely times when I was so scared
This sacred place, the place of my mind
Holds so many memories, which I've left behind
