Lingering voice in heart

Lingering voice in heart

A Poem by Carl Drake Barnard

a Lingering voice inside my mind
'Please hold me.'
Flesh of heart desires to hide
as it can see

Voice of at most care
speaks to me in rare
'Why do you flee
come and feel...'

I stand and observe,
keeping mind in heart.
As I use my soul's reserve
free falling apart.

Look at me! hold me!

as imagination goes insane...
My melancholy lets it be,
so that a voice has become pain.

Author's Note

Carl Drake Barnard
So a little bit about the peace at hand.
Form:Narrow short, effect of controlling the lingering voice, which at the end gets out of form.
The poem show's how the person is trying to be separate his self from his emotions, his heart, his mind, trying to observer reality, but his imagination takes hold and his melancholy takes hold and allows the moment to occur ceasing observance from reality. Hugs! THank you :)
