Just to see you again

Just to see you again

A Poem by Carl Drake Barnard
"

Poetic song my first ever!!

"
One way,
or another,
I have to keep on trying,
Just to,
see you,
one last time again!
Calling forth the demons,
asking if I could see you again.
Maybe even hold again.
Or maybe,
Baby ,
Just to see you living again.
Please don''t
be sad
This is what I want to do
Just to see you singing again.
God,
Please,
Forgive me,
one last time.
This is something I have to do!
Just to see her breathing again!
Please,
Don't,
be sad,
This is something I have to do.
Just,
to see,
you,
again...

I like the flow the way it is. I love the contrast, that feeling of wanting to try to be strong, and at the same time wanting to let go. I feel like it comes from a place of grief and desperation, and longing, not only for the lost one, but for release from the pain.

Meg
It certainly has a lot of emotion behind it, which is great. I just think that it could be made to flow a little better, some lines shortened and others extended, etc.
Otherwise, fantastic

Your song is a painful expression of heartache... death of a loved one is not an easy thing to let go...

Nice work, Carl. :)

There are 3 dear ones who died, in the last 3 years. That was hard for me, this poem reminds me of them. But I stay positive, cause once I see them again ;-)
