Torturing Love

Torturing Love

A Poem by Carl Drake Barnard
"

Hope you feel this :(

"
My heart beats to but one
So I must learn to love
again.

With trying tears
you watch me burn
only to do so
again..
.
I try to push my heart
  to side with yours
only to feel this
again.

Alas I want to be free
away from this
 but you'll be
sad
.
again.

I want to stop this repition
but I fear I cannot
 you'll get hurt
 again

Thanks James :)
Short, but packs a lot of emotion. I could feel the pain and agony in the words. And the way you wrote this poem was interesting, and it fit perfectly. Great Job. :)

Thank you Dark Rider
Carl , this is written with sensitivity toward heartbreak...
I felt the consideration and respect within each drawn line, as if
you were trying to erase the pain, the agony.

Well done, my friend!

Cant believe I didn't see this thank you Robbie*
Okay first off I have to say the way you wrote this intrigued me. Meaning the font with the crossed out lines like you were covering up what you wrote about her... Just so she couldn't read the pain she has caused you by leaving you high and dry... Your beating bleeding heart still burns for this woman you speak of... I can feel the connection you have for this woman... She must have shot an arrow right through your heart but when she left you she ripped it out without icing the open wound... I can feel the hurt in this piece as well as the love you still have for her...

You want to stop crying over her as you know she will never come back. But you can't just because of what she meant to you. And you know you can't show her you're hurting the way you are... Sorry bro but this is an excellent write... Can't wait to read more...

Thank you :)
Great work, the character in the poem is trying to love but can't cry and is unable to fake it. Message from the poem, love can not be fake, love is real.

Aww Thank you :)
really nice written poem with lots of emotion .
Sorry for the broken heart i suppose it is really a very hard feeling that is why many people find it hard to take the try and love but it is not a choice so i suppose when you will find your real love she will make u forget all the past :)
