Write

A Poem by Carl

Write it down you generation

Write it down all that you see

Write the words that encourage the weak

Write the words that set captives free

Write the words that save a nation

Write the words that speak of truth

Write the words as the beacon's passed

From the old now to the youth

Write the words in the backstreets

Write for those who live in fear

Write the words from the hillside

Shout them for the world to hear

Write the words from the roadside

Where the lost and lonely cry

Write the words for change is coming

Tell them now to hold their heads high

Write the words that speak to leaders

Write the words for Queens and Kings

Write for such a time as this

And see the effect that it brings

Write the words that are full of passion

As your hopes come to the fore

Take a look st society's fabric

And see where our poetry tore

Write the words for those with burdens

So that they may become light

May we use our words as weapons

For this is not a physical fight

Write the words for all the victims

May our words scream that this is wrong

Tainted and tarnished may each one heal

And find a place to belong

Write the words for race and colours

As we lay our weapons down

May our poetry be the thread

To repair each city and town

Write the words for the coming poets

So that history is made

Tell them of cultures tones and colours

That are so brilliantly displayed

Write the words for the planet

The place that we call home by birth

Write the words with a fervor and passion

As you plead the case for Earth

And write the words as we stand together

And we ask for forgiveness of sins

Write for all of this and more

As the road to recovery begins

Say it because it needs to be said, a very good message indeed. Speak for those who can not speak in hopes that they gain a voice. I really like this and i think you should look up the song "sing" by the dresden dolls
