Dim The LightsA Poem by Carl Douglas Sinderbythinking about current situations and how people are going to cope this winter.
Its the cold that will kill this year they say,
and the profit of the energy giants will increasingly stay, How is profit before people even a celebrated trait, When all we have now is a cold broken state, Dim the lights and clear the flames, Nothing but cotton blankets is all we retain, We search for food we don't need to cook, We turn off the TV to turn over a book, We look on elders in fear of there loss, They got through so much but are now counting the cost, We still have warmth in love and hope, But how much longer can we all really cope.
