The Real Me

The Real Me

A Poem by Carewell Kasilag

I'm awake! I'm awake!

But do I want to be?

As you see--

The real me,

You'd let it be.

Open your eyes, open it!

Try to look at me.

If you don't already see,

Then your blind.

Or you simply don't care.

I'm lying, I'm a liar.

Don't you know.

If not, then why so?

Care to watch me grow?

Or would you rather watch the crow?

I'm sorry I'm sorry

I know that you're busy

All I want,

Is for you to see,

The real me.
