I woke up

I woke up

A Poem by Carewell Kasilag

I woke up with a self-esteem.

In a selfish world it seems

I tried my best to be redeem.

But all there is-- a silent scream

I woke up with multiple thoughts

Of all the words, I must sought.

Ink and paper, I have brought

With fire and ashes, I was caught.

I woke up and there's another day

Goal and opportunities on a tray

Is this the day I'll have a say?

No wait-- I was just in the way.

I woke up and I'm here again.

I feel like I'm in a lion's den.

Everything seems beautiful back then.

When did my world descend?

I woke up and I don't want to.

I woke up and I wanted to be threw,

Away from this world, I was thrown into.

I woke up and I don't want to.
