Yet Another Plea

Yet Another Plea

A Poem by Carewell Kasilag

Earth, open up and swallow me.
Devour my soul and let it be the end.
Grief, sadness, the things you send,
sent me tumbling down to my very end.

Secret, lies, how much can i hold?
Happiness and joy have already been sold.
I see it in your eyes, it weaken my soul.
Different crossroads has taken it's toll.

I open my eyes and the fear crept in,
fear of the future and being in between.
Life or death, the question remained.
Crippling silence and unstable sane.

Favorite Line: Earth, open up and swallow me.
That one line captures it all, the depth and emotion of what any individual may go through as they battle through their personal conflicts.

I also like the arrangement of your poem as it shapes into a sphere that could visually represent the earth itself.

Kudos.

Young lady, you have a way with words. It's a gift to be able to express the weight of the world so beautifully. I'd like to see you do more. There are minor things that I would change but over all it was very very well done.
"Different crossroad(s) has (have) taken its toll"
I'd be interested in reading more of your work in the future. Feel free to send me your read requests.well done.

The poem had the feel of sadness. To want to be swallow by the earth. Life is never easy. The earth, the sky and the river show us. Life is change and journey. I liked the poem. A emotional journey shared. Thank you Carewell for sharing the excellent poetry.
