Listen

Eyes, eyes! They see through you!

Every step, every nod, every sigh- they hear.

Growls and grins from shadows form

They are nowhere else but near

Listen! Listen! Listen! Chatter everywhere

From behind, from below, their voices heard

A needle in a haystack you are, my friend

In slumber we’ll see you and your end
