One Year Ago

A poem about my life last year, and how weird it is thinking back on it.

 

One year ago,

Everything was a mess

My life, my beliefs, my self confidence

One year ago,

I couldn’t go one a single day

Without crying.

Tears went from being something

Where I couldn’t remember the last time they fell

To a common occurrence

One year ago,

Everything seemed so dark

Nothing got better, only worse.

I had once been so strong

But one year ago

I had never been weaker.

It’s so hard to think that was all

One year ago.

Now tears are something

I can’t remember again

My heart doesn’t ache with pain

Whenever I think about life,

I’ve come so far

From one year ago.

Its weird that I'm writing poetry, and I don't really like it that much. But tell me what you think. It really could be much better, I'll probably rewrite it later.
