Finding My Muse

Finding My Muse

I find my muse at a party,

of monsters and animals.

He tells me who they are,

where they're from.

We make it out to the porch.

After time passes, I start to shiver,

he tries to keep my hands warm

but we want to head in.

The crowd looks too dense

He whispers “Trust me”.

Now on a couch,

he leans against my chest.

He kisses my forehead,

cheek, neck.

I write it off as him drinking.

However, he had not had much.

Before long it is time to go.

“I do not want to leave”

“I want to stay the night”

“Can I see you tomorrow?”

I forget, what tomorrow holds.
