A Poem by Caradoc
"

“There is a god in each society. So right is wrong, where wrong is right…” - Nothing Ever Dies, Kamelot

"
A person was killed today
You might have seen the news
They carried off the empty shell
And spun lies about its soul
Martyr. Monster.
Sinner. Saint.
Screamed out the headlines
As each side tore itself apart
In frenzy from the twisted truth
They used the corpses on the cart
To lay the foundations of their cause
And build their better future
While decency died to thunderous applause
They ink their pens in innocent blood and paint
What each side wants to see
That only the lives they value matter
And all who live are free
So it would seem it’s true
What the old proverbs say
With pure intentions paved
The road to Hell forever is
And mortared both with blood and bone
Stripped from the lives
Of all those that YOU and I felt
Were acceptable
To sacrifice...

it is striking political commentary. both political leaders and the media are at fault for creating a world where violence has become mundane. and the hypocrisy of men in suits full of hubris who think they can judge who should die while happily letting others die for them as they sit behind comfortable desks. a powerful statement.

People deserve what they choose. Just take solace in the fact that individuals only last for so long. Imagine having to see different versions of the same thing over and over and over again... that would be a kind of hell (we are all the same person trapped perpetually pretending we aren't the same person in front of a mirror... ). I don't usually promote myself but you should read a poem called "The Holy Mirror". Eternal existence seems like it would be hell for temporal things like us... I don't think most people understand their own death fantasy.
