Old Familiar Friend

Old Familiar Friend

A Poem by Caradoc
"

"
It repeats, it repeats, it repeats
Over again and down again
Climbing on my shoulders
That Old, Familiar, Friend
Deeper than the Darkness
Others love to claim
The razor’s sweet caress
Across this ragged heart
That lovely honeyed pain
I hated you and missed you
So…
Run your tongue across my pages
Blister my lips once more
Carve each agony behind my eyes
Detonate your treachery in my core
Don’t forget to peel my flesh back
And kiss my heart with all your lies
I hate you and I miss you
My Arterial Abyss
You’ve left me long abandoned
So make yourself at home
Catch up and drink my pain
Don’t leave me here alone
It’s been far too long a time
The start of this romance
You owe me another dance
Misery, My Old Familiar Friend
