Withered

Withered

A Poem by Caradoc
"

...

"
a pleading whisper drew me
back to that ancient land,
a voice I’d thought to never hear again
old emotions stirred,
seeking for the embers in the ashes
but they are merely shadows
shades of the passions that once drove me
the longing for what was found
in Elseness only
has fled with the sands of time
and so the hatter leaves only this
a message to fairweather alice;
“i waited for you alone
as wonderland withered around me
and when i was certain the tea had gone cold
i left the Elseness behind...”

This was superior to many poems here. All words that are powerful that convey imagery and emotion. Very souls-like....embers and shadows...it's a video game series...dark souls/bloodborne/demon's souls etc...

It makes me think of confessions of a samurai or some forgotten hero with strong resolve.

Btw-you didn't get any comments yet because of non-female name. What's that say about males these days? Look at that Julie person....she's a trash writer (ugly, too) has female name, baits comments. You're way better than her! Bravo! Let's be friends!
