Dark Night Fantasy (Finale)

Dark Night Fantasy (Finale)

A Poem by Caradoc
"

Closing the circle...

"

I saw her there, so long ago
And I yearned for more than she ever could give to me
Strong bonds of friendship that once were invincible
Are now torn asunder...

Do you recall when you spoke to me
In that far off time
On that bleak winter evening?
I was lost in the shadows
Wayward and wondering
Your love and light guided me...

She was my sin, my want, my lust
That's no longer true, all the lights are down
Now I am old
And weary to see, innocence is not real...

Real...real...real...real...

Dreaded to pen the very words you read
Forced to keep this decision a secret for oh so long
In spite of this, the cost is greater than I would like to prize
I shall go on alone, shadowed without the light you cast
Once I was in love with you...

My Cold Moon, Dark Night Fantasy
Curse inside my head, only regret
I Refrain...
How did we make this mess? How did we conjure all these lies?
How did we get this far? Is it the end for you and I?
Are we too far gone to know?

The time draws near
It is a day I fear
Our Goodbye
Once we speak the words I know something will die
Left with only the
Silence of this Tomb

Daylights gone, only night remains
I've fought for so long to gain the melody, reasoning
Will I find the surcease from all of this sorrow
Or one last Obsession to seek?

So I'll put the past behind me
Lay the pain inside to sleep
Goodbye to all my Dark Night Fantasies
Farewell to all I wished to keep...
