Shade

Shade

A Poem by Caradoc
"

I was never "Sunshine"...

"

Behind the smiles
And the laughter
Behind the quick witted banter
There a flicker of night
Comes lurking
A shadow in your eyes
I wish I had some light
To give
To chase your darkness away
I wish that I could ease your soul
But I have only Shade...

We see in others sometimes what is also in ourselves. Difficult to offer a hand to the drowning when it will drown us.

Few see the world without some sort of shade or protection. This is sad. I liked the honest tone and feel of the words. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

I understand how it feels to want to give someone light when you can't seem to find your own. Very tough...great piece! One day though, you will find your own light & it will help you bring light to others around you.
