Absonant Abyss

Absonant Abyss

A Poem by Caradoc
"

...

"

you asked me for the secrets
that i keep

"share them with me please
show me the shadows
and the darkened corners
of your weary heart
and tired soul"

but how dare i

it would only hurt you
if you knew
the midnight dwelling in my mind
is far too cold and
far too deep
for a radiant light
such as yours

it would dim
if invited to swim
the depths of my
absonant abyss

i, the glooming moon
could not bear it
to smother the iridescent
shine of your ivory sun

so my secrets i shall keep
the ones you know
already pain you

do not ask me for the rest

Pax
beautifully written, my friend, there's a saying that "some secrets are better left buried"...

Sometimes we ask for what we really don't want to know. It takes love to keep those secrets.
