Alone, With Silence, in a Kingdom by the Sea

Alone, With Silence, in a Kingdom by the Sea

A Poem by Caradoc
"

...

"

and like the signs he saw in restless dreams,
as he walked the cobbled streets alone,
i whispered nevermore
to that avian fiend that took to rapping, tapping
on my chamber door
i left my soul beneath its shadow
as i strained to hear the sound
but voices would not share
not a single one would dare
so i sit here, alone
with all the demons in my view
and i wait and wait
in a kingdom by a dark and mournful sea
writing poems that foreign eyes shall never see
longing for my forgotten, forlorn

Beautiful allusions to Poe in this piece. Your writing always inspires and transfixes me, Caradoc, and I shall always remember our lovely banter at the beginning, and the fact that I still owe a lot of the improvement to the fine detail in my stories to you -- you are a meticulous, and skillful writer. I promised myself I will get back to finishing my stories this summer, hopefully you will pop in to correct and admonish, and advise from time to time.:)

As Poe is one my of my favorites. I have to say that this peace brought me a lot of nostalgia. Thanks for the walk down memory lane friend.
