This Time

A Poem by Caradoc

"Hear the ticking of a clock, the sound of life itself..." - The Human Stain, Kamelot

I think I'll finish what I started,
Many years ago.
Who is left to stop me?
This time I'll succeed...

It was so soothing to finally put this into words and post it.

hmmm interesting take on time... it can be short, nanoseconds short, but then what was seen or felt or even accomplished?? and it can be eons of eras and epochs long and stretched out, elongated and slowed down to almost nothing at the edges of a black hole.. both are part of what makes time so interesting and worth seeing as it flows in our lives...

I agree with KL below, there is an ominous undercurrent in your poem Caradoc, so I would also ask, why was it "soothing to put this into words"..

Dark and foreboding, I do not like the tone of this piece, though perfectly executed, for dramatic effect, I only have two thoughts about the content, and neither of them are something I would want for a friend. That said, it's a well done little write.
