A Poem by Caradoc
"

"

i will change this pain into lines on the page
the blood i bleed into ink
until the last drop falls

and when that day comes
and i can take no more
i'll pull the trigger myself
bring the story to a close

only i get to choose how the ending goes
and etch all my secrets
into that final chapter

too bad it's in invisible ink
and all you'll see
is a blank

Bring the story to a close, well put. The poem is about finding closure, meaning, hope somebody will understand.

Well done.

to have all your pages written in blood ink and then have these pages invisible for us to read is ironically sad I think... fortunately, while they may be very red and sticky, we are able to see them now...

I like how your poem flowed out (like blood) to it's conclusion... reminding us just how precious life is and also that we have and need the right to determine its course. And as it wanders, our lives have great meaning...

thanks for your poem Caradoc, I enjoyed reading it..

Your poem is def moving. Many good but also painful lines in here. I think my fav ones are the first two. I like the blood/ink combination.

Apropos for me at the moment, as well as for Canada's current "right to die" legislation. Clear, concise, cutting, and bleak, just like I know Caradoc. Let's hope there are many more pages to come before the end.
