I've been gone for so long and the literal first poem that I come to read is yours. There are no gods, there are no demons, there is no good and there is no evil, all that exists are those that are constructed within the minds of the believers. That which exists in the beliefs of us is merely a reflection of the soul. Enticing poem, truly.

One that was slowly building over a lifetime of half-hearted adherence to the religion I was raised in and never quite believed. Things that challenged what little belief I held, I chose not to dwell too long on until...I'm not sure what. One day it just wasn't enough and I started looking, only to confirm something I'd always suspected.
So welcome back. :) I too have been gone for long periods of time and find myself needing a place for my thoughts once more.
The only true monsters are ourselves once our dark thoughts come to pick us off slowly in the night. I have all too much experience with this...scary stuff, but there is a way out. Just gotta stay strong.
